I had to reformat my hard drive and backup up my impt emails and burned a cd. Now when I try to import them it sats the file is not a pst file..Ive tried several fix tool in microsoft and private programs like bad copy but clearly although the file has a pst extension its not a pst file or it corrupted..I would be satisfied with just manually being able to read the file to grab some impt information

Remember that when you burn the file to a cd, the file takes on the attributes of the cd, which is read only.

Highlight the pst file and change the file attributes to Read/Write, etc.

You may then be able to open it normally.
