I have an Access 2000 database that is used to record production of individual products on a daily basis. I now want to include in the daily report a field to show the production accumulation amount. This accumulation must be reset to zero at the end of each month. Therefore, I need a running total of the production for a particular month. Can someone assist me please?

Create an input query that requests the month for which you want to obtain the information. In the field that contains the values you want to add, use the Sum function to calculate the total. You can then create a form or report based on the query to make this more user friendly.
For future reference, questions regarding Access should be posted in the Database Forum.
Good luck...

Hi Jennifer, Thanks. However I seem not to be getting the query to work for me. Let me explain my scenario a bit more. I print a daily report showing the production figures for that day. I also want to print, an accumulation of the production thus far. For example when I print todays report it should also show me total production for the month up to today. If I have to reprint a report from lastweek, I should be seeing the total production up to that point. Hope this explaination helps. Thanks
