1) I had locked myself out of my Outlook 2002 backup by posting a password which I could not (later) remember. (Hard drive had to be reformmated a couple of times after virus problems.)
2) After months, I came up with a way to open it. (Found a free program online which unlocked it.)
3) Once I was able to get back in, I opened it into my "new" Outlook folder.
4) Unfortunately, when I went to remove the password software (by restoring my system to before the password situation) it also gets rid of my restored files. In fact, it just copied everything into the system resulting in 2 of every standard Outlook Box (Inbox, Outbook, etc.).My question is - since I have combined those boxes, I would know like to get rid of those extra boxes. Outlook will not allow you to delete them (even if you have two).
Please help!

If you have two pst files open, you will indeed see two of everything. Default folders in a pst file (Deleted Items, Inbox, Outbox, Contacts, Calendar, Junk, Sent Items, Tasks, Notes, etc) are always created in a Mail Delivery file. You can't delete them.
What you can do is move the messages from the second pst to the first and then close the extra pst file.

Thank you, Jennifer.
Actually, I have done this already and was wondering if there was anything elseI could do, such as, reload Outlook 2002 again and copy over those folders.
Any suggestions?

I'm not sure I understand the problem. If you've moved the information from the second pst (Personal Folder) file, then just close it. Then you won't see it in Outlook.

What I have is something that looks like this:
Personal Folders
Outlook Today [Personal Folders]I took a snap shot of it but don't think this reply post will allow me to attach it, so...
What I want is to get rid of the one on top that says - Personal Folders. It has nothing in it.
In the end, if I am unable to I will just live with it.
