Hi everybody.
I work with Finale, an excellent software for creating sheet music. This program has an utility for creating and exporting full pages or selections as .TIFF image files. I think this is very useful when I want to share my sheet music files with people that haven't Finale (or any music software): Just open Word, insert Finale-created .TIFF images in a new document and that's all. Sheet music ready for printing in any PC with MS Office.
I've never had a problem with this in my PC, but when I try to open this kind of document in other PCs, the following message appears (please notice that it's in Spanish and don't know the exact translation): "Not enough memory. Word can't show the requested font". Of course, the document cannot be opened. I have two questions about this:
1. I've checked the computers in which I've tried this operation and all of them meet the minimum memory requirements, so why Word says that there's not enough memory? These files aren't big. For instance, an 11-page document (Legal size pages) is 542 KB.
2. Why Word asks for a font? There are no fonts in these documents. Just .TIFF images that are normally recognized by Microsoft Photo Editor, IrfanView and others.
Please let me know how can I solve this problem. It doesn't happen in every other computer. Some work well, some don't. I use Word 2000 9.0.6926 SP-3. I really apprecciate your help.
Thank you in advance.

Often when Word has an error message about Not Enough Memory, it can be due to a corrupted NORMAL.DOT file.
Open Windows Explorer, and do a search for the Normal.dot file and delete any you find.
It will be re-created next time you open the Word program.Bonne chance
Krystyna
