Comment:

I am trying to import a pst file that was created in Outlook 2003. I have tried to import it from Outlook 97, Outlook 2000, Outlook XP and the original software it was created on, Outlook 2003. I am getting the same response "Properties for this information service must be defined prior to use." PLEASE HELP!

Reply:

1) Be sure the file is not read only (It will be read only if copied from a CD).

2) Go to Control Panel (classic view if XP), Mail, and delete and recreate the profile containing the account if there is one. if there isn't, create one, and add this email account. Try to open it.

No promises - this may not help, but worth a try.
