Specs: Windows Vista
I am so frustrated. Every time I try to open a doc. attachment, it tries to open it in Adobe. I basically cannot open any e-mail attachments anymore. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat several times. I've tried to save the document and re-name it, nothing works. Please help!

Well try to right click the .doc then go to properties. Once you see a windows shows up at the "general" on that windows theres is a "open with" there and beside it is the "change" bar click it then it's give you a list of programs. Chose the program that you wanted to use to open the document. Then check a small check box below that says "always use the ...." Like that. Then there you go the file with that format will be always be opened by that program.

Reinstalling Adobe won't alleviate the file association problem with Word Documents.

Open Windows Explorer, and locate a doc file right-click on the file, Select Open With, and select Microsoft Word from the list. If it's not there, select "Choose Program", then locate Word and check the box to "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file."

Then, Click OK.
