Problem drawing graphs with EXCEL

Comment:
I am making graphs using MS EXCEL 2002; while plotting a Mathematical function with the smooth lines option I need to ‘High light’ a few points and place a text beside them for example ‘Maximum’ etc. Is this possible in EXCEL at all? How can I do this?

I mean : anywhere, no matter wher u are on ur graph (just ur drawing zone selected, for example), u type a text and press enter. it creates a mobile text zone in the center of ur graph. Next u make what u want with it..That's all folk!

Thank you Taxi I got it right this time, but there is one more thing: can I delete the markers for the points on my graph and just leave a few that I want? It seems when I clear one of them they all disappear.

no.markers it's all or nothin. it can be done: u put all markers, next when u clic on ur markers, first it select all when u clic a second time it selects the one u want (i say its different with a double clic on markers which makes u access to all markers options), it gives u the hand to deconnect it from source : u can remove it, or put the value u want.

Yes u can !insert all and remove those u don't want..!it's just a question with ur double clic to select/remove the one u want. The only thing to do first is put them all and next one/one select individually the one to be formated.I think my explaination was not good...

I'm afraid on my EXCEL it doesn't workout that way! For example if I double click on any one and select <NONE> it would delete all of them. So basically I can't format the markers individually! Any Ideas?

double clic on one and right clic.Double clic must not be to quick. It works with any excel.U can see ur right when ur marker is surrounded by squares and the cursor comes as a vertical line. So u can enter the value/text u want or remove it. I can't show u of course, but it works.Keep trying !!!
