When I use Publisher to print multiple copies to the network printer it sends it just like that: multiple copies. I understand that - for example - Word sends one copy plus an instruction to print so-many copies.
The printer technician tells me that the document has to go to the printer, be formatted, then printed. This has to all happen for each page. It takes for ever, like about 4 pages per minute.
Is there some way around this?
I don't suppose setting up a printer server could help??Terry@nz
Oh, and, BTW am I the right forum? I couldn't decide.

Printing multiple copies depends on (1) how many pages the document has and (2) whether the printer has memory to store the page image(s). Another factor is whether the document is required collated. The printer page definition language may also affect the ability to repeat printing the same page. A print server would help if it is faster the the software ability to form the page image.

Usually it is only one page I need printed. That is the situation I had in mind when I posted.
Collation is not an issue here.
Yes there is definitely enough memory to form the image (would it print otherwise?) When printing is interrupted, like if it runs out of paper, then about 4 or 5 pages get printed in quick succession when printing begins again. I take that to illustrate the amount of memory in the printer.
