I have a Power Point file that uses sound but i have no way of extracting just the .wav so i may use it for other reasons

if the .wav files are linked to the pp file then you can save them. dunno about embedded files. sorry

the sounds are usually linked to animations (click on the object the animation applies to, then select the animation->choose effect options)

find the name of the sound being played and search for it. I don't know if there's any other way it can be done.

i've done that....searched for it on my Hard drive.....not there.....hmmmm

Abominable,

If you save the powerpoint presentation, from powerpoint as HTML (or publish webpage), then the wav files will be saved as a series of files

You will find them in the folder that you selected to save the html. They will be called something like sound001.wav or similar.
