Specs: Macintosh
I need to send a word document with PDF files to a friend who has a windows. Everything looks fine on my mac, but he cannot see PDF files on his computer! I also converted PDF files into JPEG and placed on word but these files also don't display on his windows! Does anyone have any idea how to make this work?

Find out what software they are using to view pdf files - Windows doesn't come with a pdf viewer, it needs to be installed. What happens when they try to view them - an error message or just a blank window?

Thank you very much for your response. They have a error message saying "quick time and a decompressor is needed." Another friend of mine who has a word 2007 on her windows can view everything fine. Maybe I can ask her to email the word document. Does it make a difference?

✔ Best Answer
The error is caused because the document has been created using Word for MAC and it has an image of some sort in it, but the computer that it was created on is using an older version of the program which produces incompatibilities when viewed on a Windows machine. As far as I'm aware there is no work-around that the recipient can use, the only solution is to update Word on the Mac to v2008 with SP1, then open and re-save the file.
