Comment:

I am using Office Word 2003 and have noticed something really strange and annoying.

If i highlight a word or a sentence and I want to overwrite that by entering some more text or whatever, the original text stays and the new text is added to the end.

How do i get rid of this problem?

Check Tools, Options, Edit. Is "Typing replaces selection" checked?
