While accidentally opening a message on Outlook2000, I panicked thinking a virus had entered and manually shut down my computer. When I restarted, the inbox was grey and read the following message:(please bear with the translation from Spanish) The folder cannot be shown. Errors have been detected in the following file C:\Windows\Local Configuration\Programfiles\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst Close all application and run the Inbox Repair Tool. Can someone please tell me how to get my inbox back , how to run, step by step, this tool and where the tool can be found? I am a novice but understand clear directions. Thank you

There's a tool that's installed with Outlook that will allow you to repair your Inbox. It's called Scanpst.exe and should be located in your \Program Files\Common Files\System\Map\1033 folder. There is a help file that will "Help" you with this. Same folder, and the file name is Scanpst.hlp Good luck and please post back and let me know if this works okay for you.
