i've seperated my Outlook 2003 contact list into three folders, one labeled "Contacts" has my personal addressbook, the other two, "Building Services" and "Office Services", contain work related contacts.for some reason, this morning, my two work contact folders are gone. nothing else seems to have been lost.
the contacts were not merged into the one "Contacts" folder (which was my first thought) and neither resarting Outlook nor rebooting the PC has any effect.
i have nightly backups of all important data to our server running on this computer, so i tried to restore the .PAB and .pst files, but there does not seem to be any actual information in the backup folder, and i'm not sure why.
... actually, i'm just noticing that although this backup file is over 6GB, there seem to be no files in it at all. the folder structure is there, but there are "no entries found" in any of the folders!
i am completely baffled by this. my searches online have not turned up any similar problems. anyone have any suggestions?
