Outlook XP slow to open hyperlinks

Hi,

Whenever I try to open a hyperlink within an HTML email in Outlook XP, it takes forever to load the webpage. Links used to load instantly but it can now take anything up to a minute to load them.

Does anyone know what to check for on this?

What browser are you using? Have you cleared your drive of temp files and defragged? May want to try that.

Im using IE 6.0

Tried clearing temp files but haven't defragged as of yet.

I've got a feeling it's something to do with file associations within Windows Explorer.

Whether something has changed under "Folder Options>File Types>Registered File Types:" but can't be sure.

You say something may have changed under the file type associations. Have you checked that htm and html files are set to open with IE?
