how do you import the .fav file into outlook so that your shortcut bar shortcuts are copied over? I've set up a new user and imported all his files and mail data from his old machine ok, but the outlook shortcut bar doesnt have the shortcuts he needs. how do i tell it to point to the .fav file i need to? thanks.

I am not familiar with any Outlook Shortcut bar (must be new to Office XP) and probably should not be replying to this post but perhaps it is similar to the MSOffice Shortcut bar where you Right click on the MS Flag on the far left of the shortcut bar and select Customize, Toolbars and select or place a check next to "Favorites", Click Ok.

And then perhaps it will appear on the Outlook shortcut bar too or do something similar on the Outlook shortcut bar.

Also, you can go to IE Tools, File, Import and Export to export the Favorites file which makes a .html file that can then be imported to another machine via the same Import and Export wizard.

Hopefully one of these two replies will help you.
