Outlook XP Fails to Save Passwords

I seem to have a great deal of trouble getting MS Outlook 2002 to remember the passwords for logging on to my POP3 and SMTP mail servers. I select "Save this password" every time I check or send e-mails for all three ISPs but it won't remember them the next time I start Outlook. The User Names are stored OK.
I install the system using a disk image of a sysprepped XP Pro system with Office XP, and import my Outlook.pst and Arvhive.pst files into Outlook after restoration from a backup.
Summary: I'm going crazy!!! My outlook xp is not saving the user password!!! If i open outlook xp and type the password and check the "Remember Password" the program remembers the password and never ask me.......

Summary: Hi, Whenever I try to open a hyperlink within an HTML email in Outlook XP, it takes forever to load the webpage. Links used to load instantly but it can now take anything up to a minute to load them....
