Comment:

I Loaded Outlook XP 2003 on my New Lap and I’m trying to open Outlook.
When I open Outlook I get a message saying:
“Unable to open your default e-mail folders. Could not open the item.
Try again”

The only option is “OK”, so I click on that and get this message:
“Would you like to open your default file system folder instead”
What can I do to fixed these problem. (Un-Installed and Re-Installed)

Mac

You have either Outlook XP or Outlook 2003. There is no Outlook XP 2003.

If you don't already have Outlook configured with another pst file, just browse to a location where you want Outlook to store its data (preferably on a folder not on the OS Partition).

If you don't get the option to browse to any folder when you receive the error, close Outlook, then go into Control Panel, Mail, Data Files. Click Add, and then browse to your new Outlook Folder and name the file whatever you want it to be called (Outlook.pst, mail.pst). Then, when you open Outlook, it will point to that Mail Delivery file. You may have to close Outlook and reopen one more time.

You can then setup your email accounts from within Outlook.
