I loaded OfficeXP on my laptop and I'm trying to open with a new PST. When I open Outlook I get a message saying:
"Unable to open your default email folders. Could not open the item. Try again"
The only option is "OK", so I click that and get this message:
"Would you like to open your default File System folder instead?"
If I click no, the program closes. If I click yes, it open into a Windows-explorer-type window with no inbox, calendar, task list, etc.
Thinking that it might react better with an existing PST file, I copied my other PST file but same result. I also tried reinstalling Office after removing the trial version that was on the computer and Works from the system but same result. What am I doing wrong?

Never mind...I followed your link, read the post, and it worked like a charm.
YOU'RE A GENIUS!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! A MILLION TIMES THANK YOU!!! :)))))
