Outlook won't open, can't get scanpst to run

Microsoft Outlook 2007

Specs: Windows XP
Big problem with my outlook. When I try to open it i get the msg "Cannot start Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. Set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the file C:\....... Quit Outlook and use the Inbox repair tool(Scanpst)...."

When I use scanpst to fix the corrupted file it gets to 31% everytime(checking file consistency, phase 1 of 8) and comes up with an error message-"An unexpected error prevented access to this file. Use a disk checking program to check the disk, then try using 2007 Inbox Repair Tool again."

I've performed chkdsk multiple times and it seems to be fine. I've downloaded a third-party .pst program fixer that just times out in the middle of scanning the corrupted file. I've googled around for a few days with no luck so far.

I can't even access any part of my outlook, and I have many important emails on there I need for work. Any and all help is MUCH appreciated! Thanks

Does anyone have any possible solution for me?

If anyone needs me to explain more or take screenshots or anything, i'm able. I just really need to access my inbox. Or if you need to direct me to a site with more outlook experts. Thanks.
