Outlook Send/Receive Button Quit

My Outlook 2003 recently stopped allowing me to manually send/recieve when I click the "send/recieve" button located on the toolbar. It still sends and receives automatically when it starts up though. The only way I can get it to manaully send is by using the pull down menu on the send/recieve toolbar button and clicking on a particular account's inbox button. Why won't my toolbar send/recieve button work anymore???
I didn't and still don't see any kind of a check by any of the items on the pull down menu but I clicked on "1 All Accounts Group" and it did the trick. Thanks
