My problem is that my Outlook 2002 has begun acting odd. I have it configured to leave emails on the server so I can download email from more than one computer. Haven't had a problem until the last few days: Now Outlook will download my email, delete the one's I have read, and everything's fine, UNTIL I CLOSE Oulook and restart it. Then it downloads all my emails again. It doesn't recognize that it's already downloaded it. It'll download all of the emails that I've deleted. I can delete them again, and it's fine again, until I shut down and restart Outlook again. HELP! I have run Help>Detect and Repair... No luck.

What is your setting for leaving on the Server? If you have "Remove from Server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'" checked, you shouldn't experience this problem. What type of ISP are you using? Is this POP3? Perhaps it's a problem on the server end. Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

I do not have it checked to remove from the server when deleted from deleted items. But then, I never did have that checked. It's always worked fine. I have two pop3 servers: I don't think it's a server issue, since it does the same thing with both of my pop3 accounts (one is a dilup account, one cable). Also, it only does this on one computer, not my others. TB

This is a bug, and it exists in Outlook 2003, too. For Outlook 2002, microsoft says it is fixed in the Outlook 2002 post-Service Pack 3 Hotfix Package that is dated October 25, 2004. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888... ac
