On a office computer that I support the outlook pst file keeps getting corrupted every few days.

When it started I was running Office XP on a Windows 2000. I tried increasing the swap file size, replacing the ram but no luck. I eventually decided to wipe the pc and start over. I threw on Windows XP with Office 2003 and tried it out but it still happens every once in a while. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I would say it's the pst file itself rather than anything else. How large is the file? have you tried Compacting it? If you need more assistance, please email me.

I deal with this issue everyday at work. Users keep leaving emails with huge image or pdf attachments in their Personal Folders. If the .pst file goes over 2 gigs it will crash Outlook or fail to open. You should think about creating a second PST file for this user. Check this link for all the info you'll need.

I don't know about you, but I would restrict each user to a certain mb so they don't send something big to crash the exchange server.
