No offense, Broma, but that type of response does not help at all. I have already searched using Google for "outlook 0x800ccc0f" and found nothing of help. I, too, am having that problem.

Mine is occurring on 1 client computer on a network. All the other computers are fine. There are only three differences between the computers that work, and the one that does not. All of these are programs that I have installed on the computer that does not work, and have not installed on the computer that does work.

1. I installed Quickbooks Basic 2003 on the PC that does not work.

2. I installed a Brother MFC 8500 multi-function unit (USB connected) on the PC that does not work.

3. I installed AOL IM on the computer that does not work.

I have since uninstalled AIM, uninstalled and reinstalled Office XP Small Business, which includes Outlook, applied all updates, and still have the same problem. It also, by the way, occurs with Outlook Express. I was also able to set up the email address on a another computer and download the messages.

This problem occurred after I installed a second nic on my server and pointed it at my ASDL connection. My mail service is handled at an affiliate in NY, and I pointed to it appropriately. I set ISA as the firewall, and set IE to use the proxy server on all PCs.

All the other PCs on my net work fine. Only one does not work. Evereything is set identically. The exceptions are noted above. Any ideas? Email me if you have some thoughts. ross.jamison@gulfstreamtitle.com

I had about the same problem. It caused me in trouble about 2 months. My case status is as below:

1. my email account: yahoo
2. tool: outlook
3. Internet connection: cable modem
4. email receiving status: normal
5. Email sending out status: abnormal
5-1 email size under 1k, it is no problem at all.
5-2 over 1k, abnormal with error code 0x800ccc0f.

I tried to fix this problem by means of
1. re-install OS/AP
2. check my settings
All of the means were failed.

Finally, I decided to check the hardware,
1. remove ethernet broadband router, and connect my pc directly through cable modem. but, it is still the same status as before.
2. to have a new cable modem instead of the original one. then, it works very well.

My suggestion:
1. check your settings first
2. if all your settings are correct then check your hardwares which might include hub/router and related.

Hope my experice may bring you some idea to fix your problem.

best regards
Joe C. F. Chang

ps.
At the same time, my account is workable in office, which connects to internet via ADSL.
