Outlook login pops up repeatedly

October 9, 2009 at 09:48:57
Specs: XP Home/Pro, 1gig
OK we have outlook on 3 different computers.
Two computers are on the West Coast.
One computer on theEast Coast.
All computers are connected to local isp's , no servers or anything like that. All computers have an email address associated with the company email addresses, like info@computers.com or ha@computers.com.

Every couple minutes the Outlook login pops up wanting user id & password (no problems for past 3 years)
The" remember password" is checked in the account settings.
This is happening on East & West coast computers.

From what you say, all 3 PCs are using the same e-mail service, because they have the same '@computers.com' address. Do you have any other PCs using the same e-mail address '@computers.com', which are not experiencing this problem?

If not, then the problem is likely to be at the server of the company hosting your e-mail.

I have e-mails hosted by several different companies and one in particular will start throwing the same error intermittently for a few days then it clears up.

I suggest you check with your e-mail provider. Are they experiencing load issues.
