When I click a link inside an email message it opens up the save file window wanting me to save the file and the extension is .exe.
Can't seem to figure out what would of caused this, nothing was changed recently.
If u hover over the link, you will see the web address, but right clicking, you only have view source and copy as ur options.

What's your default browser? Do you have the "read all email in plain text" option enabled?

I'm using IE 7, Outlook 2003.
I did not set up to read as text, but just did and retried, same results.
This occurs with any emails with links, could be emails from myself as well. Not paypal or ebay specific like other posts have indicated. It's all links. I've checked the source codes as well, nothing abnormal.
I've also ran registry and spyware aps to see if there was any corruption or issues. Still no fix.
Thanks.

Are you sure it's the Save File window and not the Open program window looking for the browser executable?

Well, it appears it probably is a open prompt which I selected the ie executable which launched the browser, but not the associated link, it just goes to the home page. I selected the one off of C: program files --> Internet Explorer ==> iexplore.exe.
Now when I click on any link, it does launch tthe browser, but not to the associated link.
Any suggestions?
Thanks for the tip.
