We have several users that are using Outlook 2003 for mail. The mail adminitrators are in a seaparate building and use Exchange 2000. Lately a lot of our users have experienced some major latency issues and are presented with this message. Outlook is trying to retrieve data from Microsoft Exchanger Server <xxxx> Initially this was not a major issue because the delay was pretty short. It would last just a second or two. Now it can take up to if not more than a minute. Before anyone mentions it, I've looked into this site already http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892... I just want to know if there are any other things I can look into before getting all into some elaborate and extensive troubleshooting with the mail admins. Just FYI, none of the Outlook 2003 clients are running in 'Cache Exchange' mode. From the above mentioned knowledgebase site, the problem may have something to do with how RPCs are processed. The troubleshooting steps are "suppose" to resolve that. This could have stemmed from a Microsoft Update that they thought was "in our best interest" to install. We all know how some of their updates can break fuctionality. Any quick things I can check that might help to resolve this issue? Thanks

Does the error happen when attempting to download email? Does the mail then download? Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
