Hi everyone.
I start to receive an incredible amount (maybe 30 messages or more per day) of junk mail. In outlook, I can easily set the filters either on words in the subject line or on words in the message itself, in such a way that these unwanted messages are automatically deleted. But I cannot do the same in Outlook Express. I set up the rules to be applied on the messages but nothing happens, I keep on receiving the very same unwanted mails. I can only apply the rule by manually going into the tools/message rules and click "apply the rule" (only then the unwanted messages are deleted). But I would like it to happen automatically when downloading messages from the server. Any hint?
Thanks.
Françoise

Hi Jennifer.
You have already helped me with Outlook (Express) in the past. So thank you for that. And this time, I realised my mistake: I chose a wrong logical operator (if "word" in subject line AND if "word" in message content, instead of ...OR...) such that the rule could hardly be efficient.
I think it works now. The messages downloaded from the server are not even transiting in the "Inbox" but go directly to the "Deleted Items" folder. It would be even better if they would not be downloaded at all but would be directly deleted from the server. I guess this is not feasible...
Have a nice evening (well, for me it is early evening now).
Ciao, Françoise.
