Can anyone tell me where the outlook express data files are and what the file extension is. I know the address book is .WAB but I do not know where the actual messages are. I'm nuking my harddrive and need backups. Thanks in advance!

normally this should be the files with dbx extention, try to do a search on *.dbx then you should find them success zz

There are 2 different OE files, depending on which OE version you have... You can open OE, go to Tools>Options>...now depending on the version of OE, look for a "Maintenance" folder or similiar... On it you will find a tab named "Storage Folder" or "Storage" or something similiar... Open that and it will show you where your email is kept... Good Luck Steve
