My Outlook Express has decided to stop sending e-mails. This occurred right after I switched to a cable modem instead of dial-up. However, I have used a cable modem before with this machine and have never had any problems sending messages. My error message is:
"The connection to the server has failed. Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E"
I use my school's server and can send e-mail if I access their Webmail, however, I cannot get Outlook Express to send the messages. In addition, I have no problems receiving messages.
Thanks for your help!

Sometimes my outlook express won't send a message until later. Not very specific answer but there is no reason I know of at the time. I am connected to internet when they won't go. I have not logged error message.

Verify you have the correct addresses for BOTH POP3 and SMTP. Some mail servers use the same addy for both, some don't.
