The last couple days I've been having trouble with my Outlook Express. I think it started about the time I upgraded from XP home to Pro, and installed Windows updates.
I use OE in IMAP mode. It's worked fine previously. Now, every time I try to read an e-mail I get a message reading:
"Message could not be displayed
Outlook Express encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again."MSFT seems to say it is the result of losing connection with the IMAP server. I thought I had a clue about what I was doing, but can't seem to get this to work. Have tried restarting multiple times and reopening OE multiple times, still nothing.
It's definately not a HD space issue, as I have a couple gigs left (it's a laptop). Memory may be an issue, but I have 256MB.
Any suggestions on fixing this problem? Thanks!

I believe I've traced the problem, now just need help on fixing it. It appears that when I enable McAfee VS Internet Filter, the problem occurs. I am pretty sure that this is the cause.
I am running OE6, and McAfee 4.5 (old, I know). Any suggestions on being able to use both Internet Filter and OE at same time? Thanks.
