I am installing and replacing every computer in our office this weekend. We currently have PII 450's running NT4.0, and are moving up to 3ghz P4's running XP. (finally got my cheap boss to spring for new comps)
Currently, everybody in the office uses Outlook Express 6. When I make the change, we will be using Office small business which I believe has Outlook 2000.
I want to have everybody use Outlook instead of Outlook Express due to its functionality with Exchange.
My question is, can I import .dbx files from Outlook Express in to the full version of Outlook so nobody will lose old email?
I found a free transfer utility on the net, but am in a bind because these old pc's are partitioned, and the OS drive partition is only 2gb...I don't have enough space to use the program.
I usually find answers to questions I have by searching the archives, but couldn't pull up anything on this issue, thank you so much for your time.

Yes...
In Outlook Express, go to File, Export...you can export your messages or your address book...do each one of them...
It will automatically export as pst file...Suggest you name each PST file so you won't get mixed up as to who is who's...
After you install OFfice, Outlook allows you to Import the settings from OE...
Everything will be there...
It is an easy process, but I strongly suggest you practice on a couple of machines before you do everyone...make sure you know what is going to happen...
Good Luck
Steve
