Outlook Creates Registry Subkeys

September 13, 2011 at 09:52:04
Specs: Windows XP
Outlook creates new subkeys in the registry for each user that logs in, even though I have deleted these subkeys from the default user profile...how can I prevent these subkeys from being created? I don't want to have each user log in and have to delete them.

I want to add, that the registry keys are being created in HKey\current users\software\microsoft\windowsNT\currentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\profiles. Thanks for any help on this!

Why do you want to delete the entries/prevent them from being created?

We wish to create an image for mass distribution and do not want each Customer receiving the image to have to log in and delete the registry keys.

So, again I ask. :) Why do you want the Registry keys to be deleted?

So it would populate with currently logged in user data, not pre-populate with existing data. Blank = current user data.
