Outlook 2000 stops reponding upon replying to an existing e-mail or when creating a new e-mail. I don't get an error message. It just hangs. I tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling and the same thing happens. I deleted all tmp files. I even started windows without the startup items just incase something was interfering. I am at a loss.

What version of Outlook? Are you using Word as your email editor?

you either received something big in the email or tried to send something, which didn't go through...one of these 2...that's why outlook keeps making loops & loops until the email goes out, but most likely not
