I am running Outlook 2003 and have contacts in my contact list but when I try to access them from the To: or CC: buttons, they will not show up in dialog box. I have run through the standard configurations screens with no luck and have even created a new .pst file and imported prior contents only to be in worse shape. Now, when I click the To: Button, I get a message that says: "The contacts address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened or found . . . .etc."

Jennifer Summ has posted a fix for this.
Search by her name or by Outlooks PST and you should find it.

Actually, it's Jennifer SUMN. :) Greg, email me, and I'll send you the fix.

Jennifer,
I e-mailed you from one account the same day I posted and also e-mailed you from another account tonight. Thanks in advance.

Jennifer,
Thanks for the procedure. I was able to use it to do what I needed to do. Note that it did not apply 100% to Outlook 2003 as the newest version does not allow you to access the full set of properties by right clicking the icon while Outlook is closed. I had to do it from the internal menu. Also, I did not have an Outlook Address Book in the initial view to be able to delete. I suspect I lost it in one of my location transfers for the .pst file, but was able to perform the remainder of the steps to make my contacts show. Thanks so much.

Greg, I'm glad it worked. Outlook 2003 does allow access to the accounts, data files, and profiles from the properties on from the desktop icon. I don't know why you couldn't get into that from the desktop icon, unless you were clicking on a shortcut, and not the icon placed on the desktop by the install...
