Comment:

I installed SP2 for Outlook 6 (big mistake). MS says SP2 can't be removed, but also says if Outlook is uninstalled, then the system can be restored to an earlier date (It let me do that, but now neither Outlook nor Word will load and the Windows installer is having a nervous breakdown.) Does anyone know how I can find the calendar/appointment/task files (extensions)? They are there, but where? The computer's problems are so overwhelming, I'm planning a reformat. Thanks for your help.

Try using Microsoft's Eraser program available at their site.

You'll have to reinstall Office, but it should clear up your problem.
