Hello,

I am a single user who has two computers on a home network. I am seeking
information on how to share Outlook or at the very least
contacts,calendar,task...etc between the two pc's. Is this possible?

My goal is to have the ability to possible check e-mail from either
computer. Currently I am using a web base e-mail setup to retrieve my mail
off the Cox mail serving when using the laptop. This is not to much of a
problem. More important, I would like to browse contacts and other outlook
features on the laptop instead of using the desktop to access this
information.

It would be also cool if I was able to sync my Pocket PC on both computers.
Currently I am doing this on the Desktop. I know this will only be a
possibility once I can synchronize outlook on my desktop to my lap top.
Maybe I am asking or wishing for to much.

Any suggesting would be gladly appreciated.

Here are the specs:

Computer 1
-Desktop running XP home and Office XP

Computer 2
-Laptop running XP home and Office XP

PDA
-Dell Axim X5 running Pocket PC 2003

Computers are networked together via Ethernet connection.

TIA,
Ct602

Well, you are asking a lot...
I can respond to some of this...

First, it is possible to share calendar, contacts etc between two installations of Outlook on 2 different computers...

You need to use Net Folders...I have read about them, but never tried to set it up...I suggest you Google for Net Folders and variations therof and see what you come up with...

You say you are using a "web based" email...I assume that means you are going on the internet, to the Cox website and then looking at your email over the internet...

I assume you are NOT using Outlook to POP your email from the Cox email servers...
If this is the case, you can set up Outlook on BOTH computers to POP from your email ISP, you will need to set them up so that neither OUtlook removes the email from the server, then you will POP the SAME email down to both loadings of Outlook...

I assume you have two licenses for Outlook...:)

Hope this helps...

Steve
