Hi, I have recently upgraded to office 2007, but, had the same problem with 2003 outlook...
Everytime (I mean Every, whether manual or automatic) I do a send/receive task I seem to "send" some email which I 1) haven't typed and it is NOT in my outbox, and 2) do not see in my Sent folder (which, I have outlook always save a copy to the sent).
Is this spam? I have turned off "notifaction if read" for answering OR receiving, but still, always send some random email which I CAN'T view.
help plz, and thanks.
I run comodo, avg free, spybot.

If the mail isn't showing in the Outbox or Sent items folder, what makes you think you're sending messages?

Because whenever I do a send/receive command I without fail always get as the first status update:
XXXXemail@blah.com : Sending : Completed
Whether I have an email or not. Does this mean I am sending a spam? Or, does it give me a "completed" even if I am not actually Sending any email?

No. You're not sending spam. If you're doing a send/receive, that's exactly what's happening. It doesn't mean you are actually sending a message or receiving one. The action is being performed just as you've asked it to do, either manually or automatically. If it bothers you to see those status notifications, disable showing the details.

I have something similar. I can have 2 items in my out box and then I get a message that 4 are being sent. This is not everytime.
