Outlook 2k3-Backup Personal Folders

What is the best way to back up user's personal folders. At present it is saved at C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
However we need a sort of fail safe system because users take their laptops away at weekends for work purposes and receive a lot of email. In case of a computer crash everything is lost. We back up their My Documents and Desktop folder. However, I could just copy the folder to My Documents but I don't know how this would effect logon times. For the users who don't use Exchange Server, how do you manage to backup their personal folder. BTW, they do use archiving as well.
