outlook 2k3 stuck in send/receive

I'm using Outlook 2003 in 'cache exchange mode'. Sometimes I notice that Outlook gets stuck in 'Send and Receive' at 50% and just sits there. Application still runs but e-mail is not being processed. As usual, MS tech support is very unhelpful. Any suggestions as to how to fix it or troubleshoot? Thanks.

Have you tried increasing the Server Timeouts? Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Actually I did that. I've increased it to 60 seconds. Should it be more?

I always set it for at least 4 minutes. Are you getting a delivery failure error? If so, what does it say? Life is more painless for those who are brainless.
