Solved outlook 2010 won't open

September 19, 2013 at 20:35:25
Specs: Windows 7 Pro, core i5/3 mb
When trying to use Outlook 2010, I get "Microsoft Outlook has stopped working" message. I have gone to Microsoft support, downloaded a list of possible fixes and tried all. But none repairs this problem. Does anyone have any ideas about this?
Would reinstalling Outlook work, if I can get a copy of it somewhere (it was preinstalled on my laptop).

What you could try doing is running the Repair function on Office. Open up the Windows Control Panel, click Uninstall a program, find Microsoft Office among the list (if you bought Outlook alone, just find Outlook. Otherwise, it'll be the whole Office suite.), right-click it, and click Change. The installation wizard will appear with a Repair function.

Since it came pre-installed on your computer, you already have the setup files, so the system should find them automatically.

You mentioned that you performed a list of fixes that didn't help. It's often a good idea to detail to us as best you can all attempts you've previously tried.

You can also try to open outlook in safe mode, sometimes add-ons can cause Outlook to crash on startup
