Outlook 2007 sent mail vs sent items

September 1, 2011 at 08:13:42
Specs: Windows XP
In Outlook 2007, some mail messages sent with the Sent button do not subsequently show up in the "Sent Items" folder -- the folder created by default in the left navigation window pane. A search through all Outlook folders reveals that sent messages do exist in a folder named "Sent Mail." However, there is no folder named "Sent Mail" in the navigation pane -- only "Sent Items."

Does anyone know how to get mail that has been sent to show up consistently in a folder in the navigation window pane? It doesn't matter whether that folder is "Sent Mail" or "Sent Items"; I just want to see the messages that have been sent in a folder. (Simply creating a "Sent Mail" folder doesn't have any effect.)

Thanks for the suggestion, but it didn't work. The option to save sent messages was already enabled, and the other suggestions didn't apply or related to Outlook Express. 'preciate it, though.
