ok, i'm going nucking futs trying to figure this out. i set up my email from school and it worked fine. i set up the email for school, and the folder in the mails folder pane had myname@school.edu. i did something (*#@%) and the panes on the right side of the mail/contact/calendar pane is NOW grayed out and says
"cannot display the folder. this is the root of an imap store. the root does not contain messages..."
but before i could click the parent folder and be able to click send and receieve and compose new, etc from the toolbar. now when the main folder is highlighted the options up top (file, edit, view) doesn't have "actions" as an option. but before it did.
did i mess up the data file or something? it seems more than a toolbar bc "actions" isn't available from the menu selection up top and also the entire space to the right is grayed out.
all other direct subfolders have actions and the toolbar goes back to "normal" when i highlight them, but for the parent folder everything is basically gone or grayed out.
how do i get that option back??

What do you mean by "Parent Folder?" Do you mean the Personal Folder at the top of all the mailboxes/Calendar/ etc? Can you post a screenshot?

What a shame" - Shinedown
