I have to send an e-mail out to multiple people that i need to have a response to make sure they received it. i do not want the option of "do not send a response" to show. is there a way through active directory to do this without disabling the feature for anything sent that has the option for a response...such as an appointment. or is there a way to set up a distribution group in Exchange to do an auto response?

Thanks,
Jason

i made a mistake on this. what i meant was the read-receipt for an e-mail not the auto response.

Thanks,
Jason

Do you want confirmation that it was delivered to the mailbox or that it was read? Those are two different options.

If the mail system supports it, then you can indeed get a Delivery Receipt. Unfortunately, there is no way to automatically receive a Read Receipt. That's up to the individual recipient. Unless the message is deleted without being marked as read. THEN you will get a notice of that.
