Outlook 2003 won't send email

Hello, I have a wierd problem with Outlook 2003. Whenever I try to send an email, after clicking the send button, nothing happens. The send button just pops right back up, and the email doesn't go anywhere. It doesn't go to the outbox or anywhere else.
I have tried to re-install Office 2003, re-created the MAPI profile, niether worked.
If I login to another employees PC and create my profile there, everything works just fine. It also works fine from my PC using web based mail (it connects to our exchange servers).

Check the security settings on your unit. Set them to Default.

I experienced this behavior on my pc too. It has not been used for a while. I exited Outlook 2003, went to Windows Update and four updates were downloaded and installed. Then I rebooted, and everything was ok. I think the reason for this peculiar behavior was rooted in the fact that at system start up the computer didn't find my wireless network (some sucker accidently pushed the on/off wireless networking button situated at the front of the computers chassis), and then went into working offline modus. A qualified guess this, nothing more.
