I having an issue with my PC at work. Outlook 2003, which has been working fine, just quit receiving emails. The email account is a standard POP3 and all the settings are the same as they have been. Nothing has changed. I have checked with the people that run the email servers and they claim that everying is set up properly and the problem "must be with Outlook".

When I hit Send/Receive, it quickly displays "Send/Receive Status 50% and then Complete. It sends emails with no problem, but will not receive.

I have sent Test emails (using Outlooks email setup,) and it states that all is "sucessful", but the Test emails won't even show up in Outlook. There are no other folders that they are getting lost in and there is only one Outlook account on this system.

Can anyone offer some advice on what to do next to get this working again? Thank you.

Over here since Monday 8th of June the same problem ..

NO receiving of e-mails in Outlook. They are there on the mailserver, but It's impossible to get them.
Testing the email account settings deliver no problem, but no emails are received. It worked fine till Monday, nothing has been rearranged, all settings seem ok.

Sending e-mails is no-problem.
Webdevelopper says it sounds like a problem on my computer, but my computer expert doesn't understand it either.

Might there be a new virus nobody knows about yet?

Anyone who knows what to do?

Ok, problem is solved ..

pop-3 for incoming e-mail:

in outlook 2003 it normally is somthing like:
mail.webadress.nl or mail.webadress.com etc.

if you change it into:

pop.webadress.nl or pop.webadress.com etc ..

it suddenly works again.

Don't ask me why, but maybe they changed something in the Office-update.

Anyway .. for me it worked fine.

pop.xxxxx.com didn't fix my issue, but it is exactly as you described. Anyone else care to offer some advice? Thanks!
