Hello,

my friend is having issues with his outlook 2003. It was working fine before. However, just when he got a Linksys WRT54G router, things turned sour. It worked perfectly when he first connected the router to the computer. Outlook was sending and receiving messages correctly. But when he unpluged the router and pluged his computer directly back to the modem, outlook stopped working. It gives an error message stating something about not being able to connect the the SMTP and POP3 server cause its may not support
SSL. It also says check port and/or proxy or something like that.

Funny thing is that under the connection settings, he has SSL disabled. Also, he isn't running through a proxy server. Ports are left at default too.

We tried plugging the router back in and it didn't work.... very strange.

Anyways, here are the email servers if needed:
SMTP: shawmail.cg.shawcable.net
POP3: shawmail.cg.shawcable.net

Thanks in advanced!

PS: I don't know anything about outlook since i don't use it... so please try to be simple ;)
