Outlook 2003: Somehow ContaFull Name header

Specs: Windows 7
Hi & thanks in advance. I have been using Sync2PST to sync all Outlook 2003 data between my laptop and my desktop tower. Both use 64 Bit Windows 7. Recently, I have had a laptop Outlook problem: In email: New, when entering the first letter of an addressee in the "TO" field, some names don't automatically appear (they used to). When I open the address book and type in some particular name (s), it/they do not appear there. However, when I open Contacts and do a search, the "missing" names are there? Any ideas as to how to solves this?

While I am at it, this Sync2PST program sync often results in duplicate Contact entries. I know the manual method of finding & deleting dups, but I have 850 names in Contacts. With 2 computers thats 1700 names to go through on a single name-with dups, that 3400 names- a slow and tedious nightmare. Anyone have any shortcuts or know of a duplicates "seek & kill" program for Outlook 2003? OR, a better program for syncing Outlook 03 between 2 computers?

Much obliged, RM

If you want the To field to show the history, you need to make sure the "Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" is checked on both Outlook configurations. This is a profile setting, not an email setting per se. Tools, Options, Preferences, E-mail Options, Advanced E-mail options.

You'll also need to make sure the outlook.NK2 file is the same on both computers. That's the file that stores the auto-complete (suggest names) entries.

As far as a synchronization program, I don't use any, so I'm afraid I'm no help with that one.
