Outlook 2003 Not Responding

Outlook 2003 locks up when trying to open an email with an attachment. "Reinstall" of Office 2003 helps for a little while - not long. Maybe a couple of hours. "Repair" does not help. It appears this started after installing McAfee Antivirus 8. I have since uninstalled McAfee with no help. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated
