I am trying to use a contacts list that is shared from another computer to create a distribution list. I got an error message that said the address list could not be found; the contact list was moved/deleted, etc. The solution that Microsoft gave for deleting and re-adding the Outlook Address Book doesn't really apply to a shared contact list, because when I go to its properties I don't get the Outlook Address Book tab so I don't know if it is shown as an e-mail Address Book or not. I have changed that option on the originating computer, but there is no effect, and afterwards the shared contact list will no longer appear in the dropdown box for adding contacts to the distribution list. Is there something I'm missing?

I am on a Microsoft Exchange Server and I did try the above link and it helped a little. I got the desired shared contact list to show up in my contacts, but I still don't see it in the contact list drop down box when making a new distribution list. I think the problem resides in the fact that I can't right click on the contact list and get the Outlook Address Book tab unless I'm on the originating computer, and even when I check "Show as e-mail address book", it does not show up on my drop down box.
