Just installed outlook 2002 (converting from OE) and when I open the program the calender appears and the program is non functional for about 30 seconds (hourglass on screen). I have dsl and OE opens and email is downloaded almost instantaniously. I have unchecked the messenger option and even followed instructions to edit procserv and locserve keys in the registry. After hours of searching MS KB I am befuzzeled. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I hate to keep sugesting the same thing, but here it goes again; have you tried running a repair of Office/Outlook?
LL

I have a friend that also has the problem of outlook opening slowly. We also have the problem of the toolbars being slow to respond. Click on Tools, go have a cup of coffee, come back and tools may be open. She originally had Outlook 2000. I repaired that, no good. I upgraded to Outlook 2002, no good. Repaired that install, no good. Read the Microsoft stuff about DNS over Dial Up, hooked her to my satellite, deleted all Dial Ups, no good. Completely uninstalled Office, moved her Mailboxes to another location, reinstalled office and ran Outlook, Same problem.
I am at the end of my list of what to do. I am going to try some of the fixes for Outlook Express, unless of course someone else has a better idea.
It is a Win XP machine with SP-1a, and Office XP.
